Hangar in Habřina

The client wanted to visualize some concept ideas that would demonstrate possible uses of the object. The project is an unused large agricultural hangar. The object will be repurposed for commercial use to accommodate several amenities.
First of all was the need to change the roof and remove dangerous structures in the interior. Thus, opening the ceiling to full height. I decided to keep some of the iron support structure used for the first floor. These will be used to close a portion of the interior into a self-contained and isolated room where activities can take place. The rest of the hangar will be an antique and vintage furniture showroom I suggested various options of a partial transformation of the structure into a greenhouse.
Large openings are placed along the long side to relief the weight of the building and bring in natural light. This is all being done in cost effective way.
